In ambient music Aditya explores the intersection of his two passions - space and sound; where he plays with the boundaries between music and noise. His approach draws inspiration from deconstruvist architecture, hindustani classical music, post-metal, and science fiction.
His music has been used in short films and contemporary art performances, and has been recognized by Rolling Stone for his debut release 'Udyan' and the subsequent single 'Drown'.
He continues to evolve his practice and is currenrly working on soundscapes for a private client and a background score for an independent film.
His latest release latest EP Celestial Noise is inspired by the song of the cosmos, the first sound 'Om'. It is a minimalist EP of short pulses, long drones and various interstellar transmissions performed as an offering to divine constellations.
They pull together different layers of guitar feedback and microsample repetitions into crescendoes evoking the ebb and flow of the universal pulse.
Future Feedback: audioreactive performance with John Anthony Thadicaran
Building a cathedral with brick after brick of repeating notes, layering on themselves, lulling the player and the listener into a space of soothing familiarity; let go and surrender control.
Guitars and pedals; speeding up and slowing down time; take a sound and loop it back on itself, pitch it up, reverse it, play it back together, pitch it down, drown it in reverb until it sounds nothing like the beginning.
Then, peel it all away slowly to reveal what it was at the start - naked and raw.
A few sparse notes, a small phrase, a chord,
an open string ; transformed by turning knobs; flipping switches; yet it is only that which is born of the first sound.
The light in the hallways of the cathedral darkens, and there is a weight to the air; dark clouds drift, contradictory, cavernous ; cacophonous.

The space inbetween is everything.
